WHO needed to produce a high-quality Global Health Emergency Appeal under an extremely tight deadline, ensuring clear and compelling messaging for a diverse range of stakeholders. The appeal required seamless coordination across HQ, regional, and country teams, as well as rapid content development, editing, and design. Given the urgency of WHO’s humanitarian response – including the COVID-19 pandemic and other global health crises – timely delivery was critical to mobilizing the $2.7 billion in funding needed to reach 160 million people across 56 countries.

JMO Communications took the lead in managing the strategic communications for WHO’s Global Health Emergency Appeal, ensuring the production of a 160+ page, high-impact document under extremely tight deadlines. Working closely with WHO teams across HQ, regional, and country levels, we provided rapid turnaround writing, editing, design, and proofreading. We developed clear, compelling messaging tailored for donors, governments, and humanitarian partners, ensuring that the appeal effectively conveyed the urgency of WHO’s work.  By combining strategic communications expertise with agility, JMO Communications successfully delivered a mission-critical document that supports WHO’s efforts to mobilize $2.7 billion in funding to reach 160 million people in need of lifesaving health assistance.
